Swing Lapin is a fast dance organization dedicated to bringing Lindy Hop, Balboa, and Shag dancers together in one vibrant space. Named after the French word for rabbit, Lapin reflects the playful speed and energy at the heart of the community. Problem
Swing Lapin needs a logo that embodies the “high-energy, fast-paced” nature of their dance community. The logo should capture the essence of Lindy Hop, Balboa, and Shag dancing coming together, while reflecting the playful speed of the name Lapin (rabbit). It must be versatile enough for social media, event promotion, and merchandise, representing the joy, connection, and rhythm that define Swing Lapin.
Solution
The Swing Lapin logo will feature dynamic, fluid elements that evoke speed, movement, and the playful spirit of the rabbit. Incorporating fluid shapes and subtle dance-time related, the logo will capture the essence of fast-paced. It will be versatile and scalable, ensuring a seamless fit across various platforms—from social media and event posters to merchandise—while reinforcing the community’s energy, inclusivity, and love for dance.

For the Swing Lapin logo, we drew inspiration from Alice in Wonderland, specifically the iconic White Rabbit—representing someone always on the move, rushing from one place to the next with a sense of urgency. The design plays with themes of speed, movement, and time, with subtle nods to the rabbit’s watch and energetic persona. The logo embodies the quick-paced nature of Lindy Hop, Balboa, and Shag, capturing the spirit of fast dance with fluidity and style.
For Swing Battle Royale, we bring in elements inspired by Street Fighter, blending bold, dynamic visuals with action-packed energy. The logo and design will combine the intensity of a battle with Swing Lapin’s unique rabbit motifs, showcasing the competitive yet fun nature of the event. Think vibrant colors, sharp lines, and playful yet fierce energy that draws from both the world of classic fighting games and the fast dance culture of Swing Lapin
