I’m a UI/UX Designer, Graphic Designer, illustrator, artist & dance instructor!
Hey there! I'm Alyssa Beard, a UI/UX with a Bachelors in Athletic Medicine initially pursuing a path in Physical Therapy. But, as fate would have it, I stumbled upon my calling in the arts. Now, working as a UI/UX Designer, freelance artist, graphic designer and dance instructor, I have a unique blend of skills and experiences that bring a lot of versatility to the table.
As a neurodivergent black femme, I focus on accessibility because, let's face it, our brains can be both a gift and a rollercoaster. I embrace the quirks and bursts of creative brilliance that come with it. With thoughtful design and consideration for neurodiversity, I aim to create accessible interfaces and designs that welcome everyone on board the accessibility train.

Outside of work…
I’m a cat mom to Kimchi and Tofu.
One is so incredibly smart and one is incredibly sassy..😅 They are my children and are treated as such (just a tad spoiled). Although I love fostering kittens when I can, they will not allow my attention to be taken. They are the ones that keep me home when I’m not traveling, because I definitely miss their cuddles. 🥰

When I’m not home I love to go dancing!
When I'm not painting, gaming, or rescuing kittens, you'll find me tearing up the dance floor with my swing dancing moves. Swing dancing is my passion, it's a living history that brings people together. My partner and I love to travel and compete together, while I also do performances with other groups.
